Do you dare?

I am one of those people who is completely obsessed with my hair, and I mean obsessed. It's mainly because when I was younger I damaged my hair so bad, they had to cut most of it off, and I hated how my hair looked. But thats all changed. I take extremely good care of my hair now, it's long, &I love it! I used to think that the only way to get healthy hair, both physically and healthy looking, was to buy those expensive salon products, yet once again I was wrong! One day while walking through target, i had decided to try a shampoo from the Garnier Fructis line. I took home the length and strength line. I loved how it smelled and it seemed to make my hair look so much better, but the real test was going to my hair dresser. When I went in there and she took one good look at my hair she had asked me what I was doing differently. I had asked 'why?' and she told me that after 2 months of not being in her salon, I had almost no split ends, which is very abnormal for me. They also have a sleek and shine formula that is suppsed to control frizz and that is what I am experimenting with now. I love this brand of hair products now, and I am recommending it to anyone that will listen.

Mac It

No Matter what I did, I could never wear cheap makeup, meaning Maybelline, CoverGirl, L'Oreal &Revlon, they just would never look right on my face. Then one day someone introduced me to MAC cosmetics. I love this stuff! Foundation, eyeshadow, lips gloss, &cleanising products. But let me give you reasons why MAC is so great. With all of their products, it is a constant motion. They always keep their original colors, but they get new colors depending on what is in, and the season, &the colors are absolutely amazing. There are standards, like naturals, browns, pinks, etc. but then they also have these very bright colors, that surprisingly people can pull off. Then they make this tinted lip conditioner* that is awesome. There is nothing out there like it, not neosporin lip treatment, not chap-stick, &burts bees. This moisturizer makes your lips so soft, they never crack, &it smells like cake batter. I love it, &you should try it. All MAC cosmetics are oil-free.

Acne Control

Since I was 12 years old I have suffered from a really bad case of acne &no matter what I tried things never seemed to work. I tried all the expensive things, Murad &Proactiv. Murad never did a thing &Proactiv worked in the beginning, but after about 2 years it was almost as if my skin &the acne became acoustomed to the medication in the Proactiv, &it became ineffective. Plus I had always thought to myself how good can this stuff be for your skin, if everytime i wiped my face on a towel after using the cleanser, it discolored the towel. I mean is there a bleaching product, or what. Anyways, I finally found soemthings that work! The so called 'cheap' stuff is the best! Noxema products, their continuous clean line (mask, toner, &cleanser) They are awesome as long as you use them religiously. Also, Oil of Olay products. Use a moisturizer from them, they are great, &they have a new product line called Hydarate &Cleanse, and it is great. It keeps your skin hydrated all day, or night &your skin feels soft &refreshed. &last but not least, I always used to hate how I looked, mainly because of my skin, &I would look at other peoples skin, &theirs would look almost flawless! I soon realized that it had a lot to do with pore size. Biore' makes a pore minimizing product line. It is fabulous!! Smaller pores=less acne problems. If your skin is prone to acne, you need to make sure you are always keeping it clean, smooth, nourished, &free of as much bacteria as possible. Now I am not saying to wash your face 20 times a day, but I do have some tips for you fot throughout the day.

Tips for on the Go:

Oil absorbing pads: Clean &clear make a pack of oil absorbing sheets. Insight &Motivation

My first post is going to be about where I received my inspiration to do this blog from. It's Beauty Addict. I love this blog, it recommends things to try, &I have learned a lot, but I think it targets older people so I want to do one that will target a younger crowd. Beauty Addict is a great site all in all, &I highly recommend taking a look at it. But as for now I will also be doing my own beauty blog, trying different beauty items, as well as taking recommendations, &telling you guys all about them.
